The "drive stuff" is the most recent testament to the kind of ignorance that always seems to accompany threads such as this one. I'd managed to stay out of this thread until I saw that post of Steve's which I responded to. It reaked of the kind of nauseating, adolescent, technology worship that I expect to see on Usenet - not on a mailing list comprised of seasoned professionals. Statements such as "Are YOU willing to bet your MISSION CRITICAL infrastructure on Microsoft??", are inflammatory, pointless, and insulting to the many professional technicians who successfully manage both IBM and Microsoft technologies. > A shill may be a shill, but this .NET stuff is the mother > of all shills. Pin that one on your fridge, Jim. One day you'll look at it with the same level of amusument we now assign to this little gem: "I think there is a world market for maybe five computers." --Thomas Watson, chairman of IBM, 1943 -john +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
