Thanks for the tip, Buck & Jade. That looks like it might help me access it a little more like a conventional manual. I'll try that for a while. Of course there is still the whole issue of content. The other day I was doing some sockets programming, and not being an expert at it, I needed a book. Using the V3R2 Softcopy Library, I was able to go directly to the Sockets Programming manual. With a few minutes of browsing through the index, I located a function to do what I needed, getpeername(). I just tried to locate this information in the V5R1 Info Center using the Site Map and the Advanced Search, but alas, I found nothing. Apparently just more useless information that no one would ever need. I don't look forward to the day they take those old Softcopy Libs off the web. -Marty ------------------------------ Date: Thu, 7 Jun 2001 10:47:56 -0400 From: Buck Calabro <Buck.Calabro@commsoft.net> Subject: RE: Info Center Rant I've had better luck with the Info Centre ever since Jade posted the tip about using the Site Map instead of trying to navigate through the frames or search engine.
