Gee, maybe I should keep my inventory of Softcopy CD's then for future prosperity? Highest bidder... <g> - Dan Dan Bale says "BAN DALE!" IT - AS/400 Handleman Company 248-362-4400 Ext. 4952 D.Bale@Handleman.com Quiquid latine dictum sit altum viditur. (Whatever is said in Latin seems profound.) -------------------------- Original Message -------------------------- Thanks for the tip, Buck & Jade. That looks like it might help me access it a little more like a conventional manual. I'll try that for a while. Of course there is still the whole issue of content. The other day I was doing some sockets programming, and not being an expert at it, I needed a book. Using the V3R2 Softcopy Library, I was able to go directly to the Sockets Programming manual. With a few minutes of browsing through the index, I located a function to do what I needed, getpeername(). I just tried to locate this information in the V5R1 Info Center using the Site Map and the Advanced Search, but alas, I found nothing. Apparently just more useless information that no one would ever need. I don't look forward to the day they take those old Softcopy Libs off the web. -Marty +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
