My experience with twisted pair baluns was that the daisy chain you are talkin about did not work. Each terminal or printer had to be star wired to the "hub" device. I was ocassionally able to get the daisy chain to work over short cables like multiple terminals set up in a lab type environment but it was un predictable. I know someone who has many unused "hub" devices. I can't remember the number but they have a twinax connector and 8 rj11 jacks. I can put you in touch. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Mark Allen" <mark.allen@fast-friends.com> To: "MIDRANGE-L" <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> Sent: Wednesday, February 14, 2001 9:58 AM Subject: Display station connection question/issue? > It's been a long time since I had to deal with this, so if someone can tell > me what I am doing wrong I would greatly appreciate it. > > > Configuration > > > DSP01-----Twinax cable-----PRT01--Balun--network > cable--Balun--DSP02--Balun--network cable--Balun--DSP03 > > > What happens is that DSP03 gets a signon but DSP02 does not, it stays Vary > On Pending...
