We had the same problem on our 720. It ended
up being the optical connectors had been damaged
when someone was working under the floor. Possible?

Chris,

I did measure it at the drives -- I'm reading about 12.24V and 5.04V at the
plugs to the drives. The 7117 power supply also presumably powers my 6502 disk
controller (also in the 7117 with the 8 drives), and I didn't measure the power
at it but DST reports is as "operational" so I assume it has power.

Any other guesses? Anybody have a reference for the SRC codes I posted which
aren't in my Service Functions manual?

But thanks for the suggestion.

Doug
