Gary, this isn't my site. It's James Kilgore's. I just looked it up again in the RPG archives here and the e-mail included this section: "They are in the RPG manuals. If you want to save yourself some keying time, telnet to 63.167.147.10, signon on as wyatterp, go to menu wyatterp and you will have a command line. From there WRKMBRPDM to either library #ILECPY or #RPGCPY and look for members starting with $INF and copy/paste" It'll let you know if you're PC side is set up OK. By the way, the place you type in the IP address/name is a drop down box. That means one session definition can be used for several sites just by selecting the site in the dropdown box. Very handy, especially if you use your own keyboard map and macros. _______________________ Booth Martin Booth@MartinVT.com http://www.MartinVT.com _______________________ "Gary Kuznitz " <docfxit@thegrid.net> Sent by: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com 11/19/2000 11:35 AM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com cc: Subject: Re: Connecting CA Express via Internet to AS/400 Hi Booth, That is exactly what I haven't been able to find in any documentation. So if I understand it correctly where it says "System name" if it's connecting on a local lan it wants System name. But if it's on a remote machine it wants Domain Name or IP address. That was very nice of you to publish an IP address for me to test CA to see if the remote PC is configured correctly. Thank you. When I put in your test IP CA asks me for a user ID and password before I get to a signon screen. Do you by chance have a user ID and password that does nothing but sign someone off the system. I would like to see a signon screen so I could verify that Express is configured correctly but I certainly don't want you to compromise your security. Thanks a buch, Gary Kuznitz On 19 Nov 2000, at 6:20, booth@martinvt.com wrote: > When you open the session use the "Communication" item, and the > "Configure" choice and type in the IP address there.
