When you open the session use the "Communication" item, and the "Configure" choice and type in the IP address there. Either the numbers or the name. It really is that simple. But your local PC TCPIP stack has to be able to resolve it. A number you can test with is 63.167.147.10 That is an AS/400 signon and if you are configured correctly and on the internet you will see a green screen signon. Then you can go from that point to get your own session started. _______________________ Booth Martin Booth@MartinVT.com http://www.MartinVT.com _______________________ "Gary Kuznitz " <docfxit@thegrid.net> Sent by: owner-midrange-l@midrange.com 11/18/2000 11:35 PM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com cc: Subject: Re: Connecting CA Express via Internet to AS/400 Hi Booth, Thanks. I'm sure it will work great after I get it configured. I can't find where within CA Express to put the domain name so it will start talking. It doesn't accept a domain name when you go into "Start or configure a Session" Thanks, Gary Kuznitz On 19 Nov 2000, at 3:45, booth@martinvt.com wrote: > Gary, can you ping the AS/400 from the "run" line in Windows on your > PC?
