problem
Hi Jeffrey,
Thank you for your
input,
I am talking of release V4R4M0
It looks like the printer is
using
the drawers at random .
If I change the
spool file to drawer 2
it feeds from drawer 1 which is A4
paper
If I change the spool file to deawer
3
it stops with attention drawer 3 is A3
paper
on other drawers it stops with message load
letter
I think I am going to retreive the driver and
customize it
scs=yes.
Thanks again and I welocome your
opinion.
Avi

Avi,
You don't say what release. But
I just went through a project on 4.4 with the InfoPrint 21 and had to
apply many PTF's to get things
working okay, and there are still issues for which PTFs
are pending. As I understand it the issue is being caused by a new
print engine in the product line that has resulted in numerous changes to
the way the ISeries/400 drives the device.
Look at the following;
SF63950, MF25055, SP63920, SF63854, SF63844, SF55237, SF59895, SF63673,
SF62773, MF23611, SF63673, SF62933
And others released
since early October.

Subject: Remote printer
problem
Hi,
I have a IBM printer type InfoPrint
attached to the net
and configured as an remoute outq on the
AS/400
with setting of *IBM4332 and outq name
'TEXT'
Ping to printer is ok but if I print the
spool file it goes
into SND and evaporates but nothing comes
out on the printer .
Second to direct the output to a specific
tray is it enough to
do chgsplfa to the drawer I want or do I
have to OVRPRTF in
the program that produces the spool file , There are five trayes
Thanks,
Avi
