The AS400 does not like to loose its lines.  Check the recovery parameters
on your line description for the Ethernet port.  Also check all your
controllers attached to the line.  TCP/IP is designed for and tolerant to
line glitches, SNA is not.  When our switch is reset, we loose the SNA
between two AS400s but none of the IP connections.  Heck ANYNET also has no
problems.  We then changed recovery to 99 tries 300 seconds and now have no
problems with the switch being reset.

Try it and let us know the results.

It's just your basic 10/100 Base switching hub. What I want to know is -
when
it is reset, it doesn't bother the NT servers, the Windows workstations, or
the Macintoshes on our LAN.  Why does our 400 get so upset? Is there a
setting I need to check?
