At any rate, the joblog of the job that receives the error should contain some diagnostic information that will point you in the right direction. Once a job has ended, its printed joblog is just another report. The rules for who can view which report depend on how the output queue is set up, but generally, with *SPLCTL, you can view anything on an output queue.
