The AS/400 already allows long file names. I believe the maximum size is 
256 bytes, and they can be mixed case. They can even contain blanks if you 
like, although a lot of the software that will use the long names has 
trouble with the blanks.

I believe Unix style paths are already supported too, although not in the 
qsys.lib file system.
