Point of order. WRKLICINF not WRKLICPGM. mpatee@abm.com on 05/11/2000 05:44:21 PM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com@Internet cc: Fax to: Subject: RE: C/A License question Eric is correct. WRKLICPGM will list all of the PGM's on your 400. Look for 5769XW1 Client Access/400 Windows Family Base. If you put an 8 next to this to Work with license users, you will see all of you active sessions that count against the system, including printers which count. I hope this helps. -Matt Eric Kempter <noerick.norcal@cleancity.com> on 05/11/2000 08:42:55 AM Please respond to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com To: "'MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com'" <MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com> cc: (bcc: Matt Patee/Corporate/ABM) Subject: RE: C/A License question This is easily tested. The AS/400 keeps an count of the number of client accesses licenses that are currently in use. I believe the information is within the licensed programs area (which I do not have access to or I would be more specific). It was an issue for me at a previous job. We had to ensure that the majority of our users were using Graphical Access (doesn't count) and not PC5250 (counts) because we had limited licenses. As I recall, licensing is based on device. One device description, one license - therefore split screen (sys req), and group jobs don't count but a new session would.
