A suggested alternative is to put the CHGCMDDFT in a
program, and run that program every time you put on a
new release or PTF level.

CHGCMDDFT will work until you upgrade. When we encounter this situation for
the first time on a box, we create a new library. Call it something like
QSYSCUST. We duplicate the command in question into that library. Change
the command default there and then place that new library ahead of QSYS in
the System portion of the library list. This ensures that you don't hose
the new defaults when you upgrade.

HOWEVER, if you forget about it and upgrade, you risk a) at least losing
some new functionality b) really messing up the system by using old objects.

Unless, of course, the upgrade process now checks that... <grin>

How do I change the Defaults on the CRTBNDPGM command to compile programs?
I'd like it to be *LIST instead of *STMT.

thnx
