We have defined several of our file (especially work files) to reuse deleted
records. 

 CHGPF FILE(LIBRARY/FILENAME) REUSEDLT(*YES)

This in conjunction with the regular monitoring of the amount of deleted
record space being used allows us to keep our disk usage in check. We have
some very large files with lots of views over them, on our system. To reorg
some of them can take several hours.

For example, I wouldn't want to reorg this file and it's views very often!
