Yeah XML is just a superset of SGML nothing really new just more non-standard standards (kinda like the ANSI X12). I have seen a few things that XML might be useful for but I can't really justify delving into XML while the standards comity is still up in the air about it. It appears to me that Brad is right, just because its new doesn't mean it is the best. I still drive a two door 69 Impala (since high school) and my brother is going through his second late model car. To me old reliable is always better than new unstable. And since there seems to be a technology turnover rate of less than six months you can afford to wait until XML becomes more standard, and stable (IMHO). (This is me preparing to be flamed) -- L. S.
