>> What am I missing? I find the current version of Code still works best when started from a 5250 session on our system - I have no idea why when others seem to have trouble with the autostart server. Couple of points. If you have configured server information in Code itself then go back in to the editor and remove those entries. Next close down Code. Now start the Code TCP/IP server daemon from the Start/Programs/VARPG .... menu. Go the 5250 session and do an STRCODE - it is not clear from your message if you had done this when you tried STRCODE before. The other thing you may be missing here is that (I think) you have to have a current library when issuing the command and if you want to receive compile messages that library should be unique to you. The "Unable to retrieve..." messages will always be issued until you have managed to connect at least once with a particular curlib The real reason for the failure should be in the job log. If this doesn't solve your problem either e-mail me direct and I'll send you my phone number and I'll try to talk you through it. Alternatively you could use IBM's Code/400 newsgroup which the developers monitor. You can link to this via the "Code support on the web" option which if I recall correctly is on the Help menu pulldown. +--- | This is the Midrange System Mailing List! | To submit a new message, send your mail to MIDRANGE-L@midrange.com. | To subscribe to this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-SUB@midrange.com. | To unsubscribe from this list send email to MIDRANGE-L-UNSUB@midrange.com. | Questions should be directed to the list owner/operator: david@midrange.com +---
