Re: What to have on a new AS/400

One other choice is to have an AS/400 account  on the internet?  The price 
is reasonable, you let others worry about the maintenance, PTFs, 
licensing,  and of course your development and demonstration environment 
becomes highly portable.

   It will be for home/small business use. I do want it to practice and 
learn on, but it will be used mostly to develope and maintain software for 

some of my customers. Due to that I am somewhat hesitant to buy used 
because 
I can't be sure if everything will work OK, also there might be licence 
issues, upgrade issues, etc.
Besides the 150 and 170 are not that expensive right now, and I'm sure it 
will pay for itself in a year or two.
