That's interesting.  IBM is out of the controller business but not really.  You 
can buy a 150 as
your controller.

I wonder which has the higher CPW, the 5494 or the 150?

So, do you want a blazing fast 170 in your house or a 5494 with a "150 Advanced 
series" sticker
slapped on it?

I think the 150 will be around for a while.  It is actually listed as the
replacement for the 5494 which is being withdrawn from
marketing 12/21/99.

James, is there any difference, besides performance and price, between the
150 and 170 models.
In other words can I do everything I wish to do on the 170 also on the 150.
