If the problem is persistent at one of the workstations, consider changing 
the work station to TN5250 and see if the problem goes away there. 
Spending a lot of time trouble shooting SNA seems unproductive, if 
straight tcp/ip is a possibility for you.  Our experience so far is  that 
Client Access Express has just made a lot of problems go away.

Yesterday I spent most of the day on the phone with IBM.  We have had a 
PMR
open with IBM since about June.  The problem is P/C interactive sessions
hang.  The interactive session shows input inhibited.  To the user the job
looks like it is running and they are waiting for the P/C to be 
uninhibited
to be able to enter more data or hit another key.  To the 400 the job is
active, shows no CPU being used and is waiting for the user to enter more
data or hit another key.   A catch-22! 

IBM says this is NOT a 400 problem.  They think that somewhere between the
400 and P/C the connection is getting lost.  This happens on Telnet, SNA, 
it
doesn't matter the connection type.  They said - maybe a link problem with
the cable - although the entire controller doesn't drop - only one P/C. It
could be between the server and the 400   - something is corrupt on the
server.  IBM suggested a sniffer trace.

There is one common denominator...a XYLAN  switch...Has anyone had a 
problem
like this? 

I am open to any suggestions.  Where do I go from here?  There are too 
many
users having this problem to think it may just go away.  This is happening
to anyone and everyone.  It is not a particular program or product.
