You can do it from Windows with Explorer or from the AS400 with WRKLNK or MD >3) How does someone set the default Public permissions on new objects? Can't answer with that one, but I'd love to hear about it. We use the IFS for "transient" files, so security isn't quite as urgent an issue as with the QSYS file system.
