Some have argued that they do not do PTF's unless something is broken, big 
time.  This concept could also go for release upgrades.

You could evaluate clustering if you are running Domino on this 400.

You could look at some of the mirroring type products, such as Mimix.

We aren't doing the 24x7 here, yet.  With 18 AS/400's the cost of mirroring 
type products is prohibitive.  There is some rumblings about getting a giant 
AS/400 to replace them.  We bring down our 400's once every 8 weeks and save 
the whole shebang and apply upgrades and PTF's.
