Agreed! I've said it before, and I'll say it again -- IBM _SHOULD_ have replaced the 5250 data stream as the defacto standard when they constructed the AS/400. Support it? Sure! Just like they still do 3270. I can't decide if the protocol was just overlooked during AS/400 development, the terminal division forced it's use to sell their overpriced and underperforming offerings, or some combination of both...
