(jenniferh@vnet.ibm.com), 09/19/96: Book overview

"C for RPG Programmers" introduces the C language
from an RPG

C syntax to RPG syntax, and C concepts are explained
with respect
to RPG or OS/400 concepts. The book covers the ANSI
C language,
so it is applicable to the C language on any
platform. Topics
                    covered include variable declaration statements,
arrays,
structures, pointers, functions, file I/O, dynamic
storage
                    allocation, recursion and error handling.

The book is used as the text for the COMMON
University course
                    "Introduction to C Programming".
