I think you will see it generating JAVA bytecode in the not too distant future. It will more than likely be only on the RISC box at V4Rx version. My guess it will be ready by the time most of us are out of our current leases and are able to move to the new box. I will be seeing a VA/RPG developer very soon and I'll try to pin down an answer for us.
