From: Tim Lennon on 19/05/97 11:04 We're using ILE in a very limited scope,mostly with small utility and maintenance programs. There are now about fifty modules on system, making 25-odd programs. We're also toying with just straight compiles of ILE objects. I seem to remember an article some time ago in News/400 saying that using the default activation group was not very efficient - but I'm not sure what the correct thing to do is. We (kind of!) understand binding directories, but they're not used at all. I think one of the big objections at the moment to ILE is that we're still on CISC - compiles can be painfully slow.
