When I write RPG, it's all ILE. Service programs, bound calls, pointers, the whole ball of wax (or at least as waxy as you can get on V3R1). There are a few quirks to deal with (like the way RPG decides if a numeric variable will be zoned or packed, very much lessening the efficacy of data independence), but on the whole, this environment is SO much more productive than RPG3, that it just doesn't make any sense to stick with the old way. I must support a mixed environment for now (we are using an OLD version of BPCS), and we have not attempted to convert any of that old trash (that's a term of endearment<g>). It's all going away soon anyway.
