I've been with my current employer for 20 years on the AS400/ISeries. Our base applications are homegrown (RPG... & Cobol). We do have a few packages that those apps interface with. Our experience within the last few years is that it is hard to find seasoned ISeries people who can handle large systems and large scale projects. When we go looking, the prospects are slim. To find a loyal employer... well, honestly, that is laughable. A rare bird that is.
