Weston, I think that it is important to realize that you can have a test environment that is "only files" and one that is both files and programs. The designator "MM" is standard for MAPICS. The first "M" refers to the program library and second "M" refers to the file libraries. In our situation, we have an "MT" environment that uses the program library, AMALIB, and the files libraries of AMFLIBT and AMTLIBT. If you want a separate environment with its own program library, then you need to change both designators. For example, at one point we had a test environment, "TT" that used AMALIBT as the program library and AMFLIBT and AMTLIBT as the file libraries. In case you don't know the difference between AMFLIB and AMTLIB, AMFLIB contains all the master files and subsidiary files while AMTLIB contains only the transaction files. I hope this helps. We are in the process of re-aligning our Mapics processes. I would like to make a Test Environment for conducting experiments. How do you make a Test Environment with all of your files from the first environment?
