This is a multipart message in MIME format. -- [ Picked text/plain from multipart/alternative ] Actually, I've never understood why the batches have to be posted anyway. Backups could run, and all the AMTLIB batch clears would have to do is only clear out the batches at delete or finished status. Let the closed and suspended batches alone. I know the accounting apps do "partial updates", so what? Recovery could just reset those particular batches back to the original status at time of backup. The customer I work at has the IM Batches in Batch Mode = N. If the user forgets to post - NO Backup. Eric P.S. I even submitted a request for a CAS change to tailor the Backup to Close/Post all batches to force the Backup. Have not heard from MAPICS about it though. My feeling is this - If I asked for a backup then I want a backup NO MATTER WHAT. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ MSN 8 helps ELIMINATE E-MAIL VIRUSES.[1] Get 2 months FREE*. ===References:=== 1. http://g.msn.com/8HMYEN/2023 _______________________________________________ This is the MAPICS ERP System Discussion (MAPICS-L) mailing list To post a message email: MAPICS-L@midrange.com To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/cgi-bin/listinfo/mapics-l or email: MAPICS-L-request@midrange.com Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/mapics-l.
