I'm in the process of learning it myself and I have a few customers using it. It is very easy to use. Some features I think are particularly valuable that you cannot find in any other package I know of is - you can integrate Excel spreadsheets into reports - good for reporting actual vs. forecast or actual vs. budget. You can also set up reports to run in a sequence and be e-mailed to a certain distribution list. Takes accounting out of the making copies business. Those are my thoughts. I don't know how pricy it is - but it sure is slick. Valorie A. The main function was to have six columns (Current Month: Actual, Budget, Last Year; Year to Date: Actual, Budget, Last Year)in the financial statements where Mapics only allowed for two. FSU works very well, but is slightly cumbersome in the initial setup. However, in the last year, I have been experimenting with Access and have easily succeeded in recreating expenses in the six columns. It will be more difficult to program the income accounts but I will not be renewing FSU because I plan to recreate all the FSU reports in Access. It's a fantastic report writing package that is very easy to learn because it's very "Excel-like". Plus it's very flexible and can handle integrating spreadsheet information into your financials (like headcount or budgets and forecasts). Best regards, Vanessa Vanessa T.
