Neither lp5250d nor tn5250 are DOS mode apps.  Both are Win32 graphical
programs.

So, why not use the same WSCST object with lp5250d?  That would allow you
to set any map you like without needing a special map on the PC side.

(When using WSCST and/or HPT the AS/400 sends the exact data that it wants
the printer to receive, rather than using the map on the PC side)

I would think so.  While your printer may use the MS-DOS codepage, it
would seem strange to me that the Win32 API that accepts the printer input
would require that -- if your printer needed something different than what
Windows supplies, it would do the translation in it's driver, wouldn't it?

But, maybe I'm just thinking too much :)

I'll add the Windows maps into tn5250 for now, and we'll try those and see
if that works, or if something else needs to be done, ok?
