Did you do LEVEL(*SYS)?

Most definitely *NOT*, because the object here is *NOT* to change the default JVM at the system level, but to change the JVM at the *job* level, which then gets inherited by the batch job that it spawns off.

Changing a customer's default JVM system-wide would be arrogant presumption, and could break some other product!

And once again, this is code that works perfectly on *every other installation*, and works perfectly with Java 6 on the *same box.*
