This is simply going to be a major PITA. And I need to do it to every
desktop we have.

This change needs to be as simple/seamless as possible. Any
environment variables/paths/etc will need to be done on every PC.
One of the beautiful things about ACS was that everything is
contained in the ACS folder and subfolders. Now that is (apparently)
changing.

That isn't changing ... if you put the launcher in the root of the ACS
directory, along with a JRE, it should be completely self contained. You
can put it on a mapped drive, dropbox folder, etc.

If the native launcher isn't in the same directory as the JRE directory,
it will look for a JRE on the path. By putting a JRE in the acs directory,
it will use that jre.

Personally, I don't like depending on searching the path to find a version
of java ... there are just to many versions. If the software you are
trying to run isn't compatible, you'll run into problems.

Because of that, I had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get approval to
use OpenJ9 with some of my software (because we could no longer include
Oracle Java). I don't want customers to have to find a compatible version
of Java and install it. Since I'm using OpenJ9, I can ship it with the
product.

I may have diabetes, but diabetes doesn't have me!
