I'm pretty sure that if you put the jre directory in the directory you have ACS in, the native launcher programs will use that JRE automatically.

If I CD into the .bin directory where the java.exe lives and run
"java -version" it just hangs.

Any thoughts on that

Antivirus software, maybe? Maybe windows is asking if it's OK to run the program?
