If you are using WebSphere 3.0.2 or higher, the documentation provides
information under the Servlets section on what jar files contain the
servlet classes on the iSeries 400. For example, this page,
http://www.iseries.ibm.com/products/websphere/docs/as400v35std/docs/pvindex2.html,

from the 3.5.2 Standard documentation indicates to use these jar files:
/QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv/lib/server/ibmwebas.jar
/QIBM/ProdData/WebASAdv/lib/servlet.jar

These files can be copied to your PC and used there without a problem.

I haven't compiled anything on the AS/400 since 1999, I think <grin>. Of
course, I use VAJ, which means I just export my code to the IFS (using a
mapped drive) once I've got a clean version. But you can just as easily
compile your code using any PC IDE, you just need the servlet JAR files in
your CLASSPATH.

All the JAR files you need are on your AS/400, usually in the following
folder:

/QIBM/ProdData/IBMWebAS/lib

You need at least jsdk.lib and jst.jar. You may also need ibmwebas.jar if
you use any of the IBM-specific classes.

This should get you started.
