Then we upgraded our SMTP server to Domino 6 for two reasons. 1) Feature to not accept email if the recipient is not a valid user. This was killing our server. We have 4 mail.box files. Each were getting about 1,000 emails a day to bogus addresses. It was to the point that we had to empty these out on a daily basis or no email got in or out. 2) Blacklist support. I don't know if that was a performance boost, but it sure was sweet to stop several thousand bogus emails a day. And not one complaint about a valid email unable to arrive.
