Hi, We are experiencing exactly the same problem. When the Domino jobs start the system basically grinds to a halt until the Domino jobs have completed. This seems to get worse the more data there is in the databases. Is there anything I can do? Thanks Steve Simpson IT Manager Welwyn Components "Andy Nolen-Parkhouse" To: "'Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400'" <domino400@xxxxxxxxxxxx> <aparkhouse@comcast. cc: net> Subject: RE: Priority and CPU usage of Domino Services Sent by: domino400-bounces@mi drange.com 03/09/2003 11:41 Please respond to Lotus Domino on the iSeries / AS400 Nathan, Yes, this sounds like fairly normal Domino behavior. Batch jobs will try to consume whatever resources are needed in order to accomplish their job. Having a job periodically wake up and do some intense work should not be considered a problem unless your system is approaching CPU capacity. If your system is approaching 100% CPU utilization and the Domino jobs push you over the edge to the point where interactive users (or other critical jobs) experience prolonged response times, then you have a problem. Are you there?
