My only advice is to make sure you have all of the latest CODE updates for the client (your PC). When I first installed CODE I couldn't get any sort of connection to any of our 400's, but after I downloaded about 4 to 5 exe's and installed them I have never looked back. I admit that it was frustrating to not be able to just install software and run it, but the benefits of CODE far out-weigh the installation wrestling match;-) CODE has become my new inspiration for developing in RPG, along with free-format. Both of these are huge advances for the 400 languages and platform, IMO. Thanks again to the IBM developers of CODE. I'd seen those - in fact, that's what has got me looking again, and the move toward Eclipse. But the QuickStart is mostly local files, and says only a little about possible problems with firewalls. I may have a lead to the answer but thought I'd check with Violaine. Or you might know - we, of course, have 5722WDS. We also had a scratch rebuild of the system last week. I did not install the Workstation components - had done so awhile ago and it seemed there was nothing there, so I did not consider it important for now. Log reports an object it can't find on the 400. Hope this is it. Then I can feel dumb and happy! > If you are looking for some "Getting Started" info, Jon Paris and Susan > Gartner have put together an article for your exact situation.
