I use a LinkSys router and have found that the firewall is happy to allow me to "chat" on any port as long as I originate the conversation. Auto-connect works just fine, but STRCODE will not without opening the firewall to port 4200. Even then it is not reliable for some reason, but I'm happy with auto-connect so it is not a problem.
