Writing CL to launch BPCS jobs from WRKJOBSCDE is an art form.
Using Help Systems ROBOT is a hell of a lot easier, but also a challenge.
When we sign onto BPCS program BPCSMENU, there's all sorts of background
jobs that are invoked to add to what is in our library list, Job
Description & so forth, that are in the background, and invoked, when we
submit a BPCS job to JOBQ from interactive.
All that has to be replicated to invoke a BPCS job from WRKJOBSCDE,
This is because at time of job launch from the IBM bare bones job
scheduler, the job is not inside BPCS, it might not have any of the BPCS
data structures in its job description. You have to replicate all the
stuff that would be in effect had you launched the task to JOBQ from an
interactive session signed onto BPCS.
You can learn a lot about what's needed from BPCSDOC member SSALOG00 and th
CL program BPCSMENU, which I advise against modifying, without serious
testing in your test enviroment, because if make a mistake there, then no
one can use BPCS,
