The version of BPCS that I am on does not capture any journals of the kind that the OS provides, that I am aware of. It does populate various BPCS objects described in SSALOG00 of BPCSDOC, then there are the General Ledger Journals, to which we have added some new categories (prefixes) & experimented with different levels of detail, where there has been frequent interest by top managers in reconciling $ flowing into the bottom line.

Currently the only journal we are generating and analysing is the security audit. We started it due to known problems with BPCS security, then it made us find out about some other security problems of which we were previously unaware.

There are also 3rd party add-on journals available for a variety of security reasons, and compliance with regulations like SOX.
example UPI's stitch in time
http://www.unbeatenpathintl.com/stitch_in_time/source/1.html

with this solution, you select what kind of data is really important to you to keep accurate, with no new dirty data creeping in ... it will catch "red handed" the culprit that messes things up, or tries to.

I am writing a program that interrogates as400 journals that have been captured from BPCS.
I desperately need a variety of sample as400 journals from BPCS. Just BPCS master files!
Nothing too big - even a few hours of transactions would make excellent test data.

If anyone can provide sample journals it would be appreciated.
