The main reason that INV300 data is not in date sequence some places, is that the data was entered on one date, using a different date. Some people may be late posting some transactions, back date them to when the activity happened. Then there are PC-client-sessions signed on one date, left signed on, those sessions data dated day orighinally signed on, not system date.

The sequence # causes INV300 to show the actual sequence the data was entered, irrespective of the date used when it was entered.

The use of the sequence number has not changed in any version of BPCS/LX. Yes it used to control the displaying of transactions in INV300.
