DeeDee...

I have yet to find any package with built-in integrations to BPCS... Even
the horrible product that SSA sold to Harbinger, then bought back...(It's
now FINALLY dead...) didn't have anything pre-built!!!

That said, any of the mainstream i5 / iSeries / AS/400 translator products
will integrate fairly easily. Most can import the DDS to a file with a
few menu steps, Then its simply a matter of mapping to your customer's
specifications.

We're also on version 6 of BPCS so we have the ECM as an inbound
interface. I've written my own outbound interfaces however since I don't
care for the way ECM works in that direction. I would be happy to go into
more detail off-list if you are interested...

If you move to LX, the integrations are better (so I'm told by my infor
rep...)

Subject
[BPCS-L] EDI Software with off-the-self Integration to BPCS 4.05CD...

Hi All,

Anyone out there still on BPCS 4.05 CD w/ an EDI package that imports
orders and exports shipments (ASNs) somewhat automatically to & from
BPCS? Ideally, I'd like to purchase EDI software that comes with an
off-the-shelf interface to/from BPCS 4.05 CD...

We are considering going to LX 8.4, then acquiring ECM ~just looking at
other alternatives. Our EDI orders are makeup less than 10% of our
sales, but the few trading partners we do interact via EDI, are key to
our company... Any input would be appreciated. Thank you.

Best Regards,
