When you have to make a change or an addition to the dcserv program, do you need to have an outside source make the program change or is the change made by internal people who have been trained? We started out with Quicktrac, which worked ok but have since upgraded to the far more robust Cyposoft product and we have taken it beyond data collection to a variety of other things. We even have the ability to create shop orders on the plant floor from a hand scanner if we want to. So far the Cyposoft stuff has been working beautifully. I like the ability to map any AS400 screen to kick off reports or review data. We were happy with dcServ, but are thrilled with the performance characteristics of the new ADC release. You can call me at 828.879.6620 if you would like to discuss the product from a user point of view. -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Young [mailto:jyoung@haynesintl.com] Sent: Tuesday, February 04, 2003 10:34 AM To: SSA's BPCS ERP System Subject: Re: Requesting Info on Bar Code Data Collection Software for BPCS we are starting to look too.... no contacts yet Debra Ivey wrote: > My company is in the process of choosing bar code data collection software. > If anyone has had experience with any of the following bar code data > collection packages and would be willing to discuss them offline, please > email me at divey@redgold.com. > > RTDCS - RT-CIM > Nutech - Viewpoint for BPCS > Integrated Bar Code Systems - Cyposoft > > Thanks, > > Debra Ivey > App. Dev.
