This software was originally developed for DuPont Pharmaceuticals which
became Bristol-Myers Squibb through an acquisition. It manages the
interfaces from all RF devices and Innovatum's manufacturing execution
system (MES), to BPCS.  Three manufacturing and distribution sites
implemented ROPICS, which is unique in that it communicates directly
with the AS/400, resulting in real time access to data and avoiding all
the synchronization and performance issues faced by other 3-tier
solutions. 
 
BMS Pharma has granted Innovatum exclusive worldwide licensing rights
for the software. ROPICS is now generally available.
