Look for a data area called SF99501 and dspdtaara. If you have the Database
Group PTF it will exist, and have a date in it. You can check on the IBM
website (PTF cover letters) if this is the latest one.

When you moved to V5R1, did you do the change to QAQQINI recommended by SSA,
and also did you do a STROBJCVN? Some BPCS sites get problems without this.
But if you have been on V5 for a while, what changed before you noticed the
problem?

To check if a lot of dynamic index building is happening, you can usually
see this on WRKACTJOB or WRKSYSACT.
