1. Performance - we made the switch to a 270-2434 last year. In a word - outstanding. 2. BMRs - for V5R1 there is a APAR established that outlines some PTFs you will need to apply (if they are not already) and a few data changes that you will need to make to the OS400 objects that will allow SSA's SQL packages to run. Cannot remember APAR number off the top, but do know that it is referenced on the SSAX site. Cannot run BPCS without these pieces. 3. Versions - we went 4.4 to 5.1, no big deal except for the APAR mentioned above. We are looking at swapping our current AS400 out for an iSeries model 270. We are a company that has significantly downsized since going live with BPCS in 98. Long story short, 6 facilities down to 1. We would be down grading from a P40 group to a P10. This is a huge cost savings but I am worried about performance. My question is has anyone on V6002 made the jump from V3R7 to V5R1 (or V5R2)? If so, can I accomplish this without any modifications or BMR's? I am new to the list and you comments are greatly appreciated.
