I'm listening with interest, considering doing almost the same thing, but going to a model 170. CPW's rule. I'm on a model 500 2142 with 43 CPW on V3R7 running 4.05CD. -----Original Message----- From: bpcs-l-admin@midrange.com [mailto:bpcs-l-admin@midrange.com]On Behalf Of Somsen, Jerry Sent: Wednesday, August 28, 2002 10:16 AM To: 'bpcs-l@midrange.com' Subject: Upgrading OS from V3R7 to V5R1 This message is in MIME format. We are looking at swapping our current AS400 out for an iSeries model 270. We are a company that has significantly downsized since going live with BPCS in 98. Long story short, 6 facilities down to 1. We would be down grading from a P40 group to a P10. This is a huge cost savings but I am worried about performance. My question is has anyone on V6002 made the jump from V3R7 to V5R1 (or V5R2)? If so, can I accomplish this without any modifications or BMR's? I am new to the list and you comments are greatly appreciated.
