Hi Dave,

We use report writing tools such as Crystal Reports and Microsoft access .

They are quite user friendly and fairly easy to develop nice reports in for
users to run.

Subject: AS/400 Report Writers

We have been using Query and Sequel for data analysis for a number of years
and I am interested in finding the best AS/400 tool for report writing,
creating download files and data analysis.

"Best" for me is defined as:

With minimal training a computer literate user can write simple reports
given help understanding the databases.
Proper security.
Controls on batch versus interactive and runaway queries.

Let me know what you have been successful with, how you have deployed it
and the non-IT people in your company that use it.
