RE: Spool file transfer to PC

If your As/400 and your network is configured for TCP/IP you may want to try
a 
straight FTP from the AS/400 to the PC. From Windows 95 DOS box do:
 Assume the address of the AS/400 is 168.254.54.199
 Assume the filename is OUTPUT1 in Library ALLOUTPUT

 1. FTP 168.254.54.199
 2. Enter your username and password
 3. LCD C:\TEMP (so that the file will go on your PC in directory TEMP)
 4. ASCII (so that the file transfer will do the proper conversion to ascii)
 5. CD ALLOUTPUT  (to go in the proper library)
 6. GET OUTPUT1  OUTPUT1.TXT
 7. EXIT

The file should be in C:\TEMP\OUTPUT1.TXT

Hi Folks,
Any help would be very much appreciated.
Problem: I would like to transfer a PO spool file to my PC.

1) I've printed a PO and it is sitting in spool.
2) I created a physical file on the 400, using CRTPF.
3) I've copied the spool file to this 400 file, using CPYSPLF.
4) I've viewed it on the 400 and all looks fine.
5) When I transfer it via Client Access/400, using option as text file,
all I get appears to be HEX or EBCIDIC.

Any takers?
